Scout Troop/Cub Pack 14 "Do Your Best!"

Our Cub pack meets Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:30pm. Our Scout troop usually meets at the same time. Upcoming meeting dates:

Wed, June 18th - Last regular meeting until September

Sat, June 28th - sleepover @ Cyclone Stadium - let Charlie know

Sat, July 6th - Start of 1st week of summer camp
Sat, Aug 3rd - Start of 2nd week of summer camp

Here is the initial draft schedule for the upcoming season. We are putting it out early, in order to give families a chance to plan ahead.

Cub Scout Camping & Overnight Trips:

September 28-30: Camping Trip - Camp Pouch lean-tos
October 12: Museum of Natural History sleepover (limited space available)
November 16-18: Camping Trip – Baiting Hollow lean-tos
January 11-13: Camping Trip – Ten Mile River cabin with Saturday afternoon ski trip!
March 14-16: Camping Trip – Durland Scout Reservation in Putnam County Modern cabin. Meet at the Old Stone House at 6:00 pm.
May (date TBA): Camping Trip
June 28: Saturday Night Game & Cyclone Stadium Sleepover (Keyspan Park)

Other Cub Scout Events:

March 1: Pinewood Derby
April 2: Circus
Saturday, April 19th: Go Cart Race 10 am in Prospect Park (at the Wellhouse Drive near the lake) – rescheduled from Sat. April 12th

2008 Summer Cub Scout Camp

Summer Cub Scout Camp will be at Alpine Scout Camp in NJ, the week of July 6th – July 13th, 2008. NOTE: If your child plans to attend, please let Charlie Pigott know ASAP if you have not already done so!

We will be adding other trips (i.e. movies, bowling, Hershey Park) during the year.

I am trying to organize the snack situation; we would like to have each family share in the snack responsibility. Right now I am just approaching parents at meetings and keeping names and dates on a piece of paper, but would like to have this info on this website. If you have already volunteered please email me here.
